LUKE & THE EGO IS...

​The original music of Luke Cleary combined with the talent of some of PA and NY State's finest players.

​Luke was born in London England and soon relocated to the Isle of Man till age 13 when his family emigrated to the Philadelphia region of the united states.  Luke went on to receive a degree in Classical Guitar Performance from Temple University.  After years of playing, teaching, and experiencing life, the time had come to pull upon all of these experiences to create something special and Luke & The Ego was formed a place to freely express, and add a melody to, all the experiences that  life brings us.  By diving deep into the art of songwriting, and working to keep the ego out of the artistic process, many truths began to reveal themselves within the writing.  Over time, the influences of classical training, the Celtic upbringing, a lifelong love of rock music, combined with the soul of the Philadelphia community, combined to become the sound of Luke & The Ego. 
The result is music that is innovative and exciting yet instantly relatable.
