Hands Of A Warrior

How did I never notice this before...

Or were they tucked deep within my mothers pockets...
Within a womb that once held us all...
These hands are not soft but these hands are not callus...
These hands are not free from guilt and from shame...
But these hands are beginning to be steady...
And it's my time... Yes, I'm ready.

    These are the hands of a Warrior.
    These are the hands of the Earth.

Now I see what you were afraid of in me...
Now I see what I must protect...
I understand that it's a responsibility...
And I know the meaning of neglect. 

    These are the hands of a Warrior.
    These are the hands of the Earth.

I ran my hands through the rainbow.  I saw colors of such vibrancy, light of such intensity, It was emanating from inside of me...

    These are the hands of a Warrior.
    These are the hands of the Earth.

    Hand Me My Spear!

    I'm not afraid anymore.

These are my hands... These are my hands.
With blood from my heart... Love from my heart.
We fell from the path... Saw things fall apart.
Now it's time to be the medicine... Bring the light to the Dark.
This thing happening in me... Could be happening in you. 
So we best all get together... If you share this point of view.

    It's time to be awake now...
       It's time to let things go...
          It's time to turn the tables...
              Because everybody knows.

               This is not how it's supposed to be...
                              We're the shadows of our souls.
